Eaux Rousses
Some came on foot but we will talk about them
later. Those who arrive on "wheels", either from Aosta or
the Mont Blanc tunnel leave the highway at Villeneuve or the motorway
at Saint Pierre and drive up to Introd, leaving the Valle di Rhêmes
on their right and reach Degioz, the chief town.
After five minutes we come across Eaux Rousses at 1,660 m., a triangle
resting on the slope with the point towards the path of Hostellerie
du Paradis.
Eaux Rousses is a stopping place on the Alta Via N°.2 of the Aosta
Valley which connects Champorcher to Courmayeur.
One can arrive from Cogne crossing the Val Lauson (alt. 3,296 m.
the highest point of the Alte Vie) and also from Rhêmes-Notre-Dame,
across the Colle di Entrelor (alt.3,005 m.).
